Service and content

Tarihle offers daily history mini-games and category practice for general education and entertainment. The game is not an examination, qualification, or assessment of expertise; it does not guarantee any level of knowledge or examination success. Source links and explanations in questions support learning. If you notice an error in historical interpretation or content, you can report it to support.

Connectivity interruptions, maintenance, or service-provider problems may temporarily affect online features. Progress stored on your device may differ from progress recorded on the server; accessing progress from another device requires account sign-in and successful synchronization.

Accounts and security

You can play as a guest or sign in with an email code. Because access to your inbox may also provide access to your account, do not share sign-in codes with anyone. Do not use another person's account without permission; report impersonation messages asking for account or payment information to support.

Delete my account and data in Settings deletes your account and associated records from Tarihle's server. Teams used by other members may remain, but their link to the deleted account is removed. See the Privacy Policy for deletion details and records held by providers.

Daily games, leagues, and category practice

The daily game uses the same question set for everyone. League performance is compared on a 3,000-point scale: success percentage × 30. Days with three or five stages carry equal weight on this scale. Archive games, category practice, historical bonuses, and results known to use extra guesses are excluded from the daily league. Purchases do not increase league scores.

Daily Rank is your finalized trophy balance. You may gain or lose trophies according to the difference between your server-verified daily score and the daily average of registered players: no change for a difference under 150 points, ±10 for a difference of 150–599, and ±25 for 600 or more. At least 10 eligible results are required. You start with 1,000 trophies and the balance cannot fall below zero; the first five days with trophy calculations are placement days. You do not lose trophies on days you do not play. Trophy changes shown during the day are estimates and become final after the global results window closes. The overall total includes only verified daily scores since the new competition system began; earlier personal Discovery XP is preserved. If incorrect or ineligible results are later corrected, the affected trophy changes are corrected too.

Category practice does not count toward daily scores, leagues, or streaks. Each category set contains 5 questions and costs 1 life to start. Free players have up to 5 lives, with one refilling every 60 minutes; Tarihle+ provides up to 10 lives, with one refilling every 5 minutes. Refills are calculated using server time. Entitlements that have not yet been verified because of a connection problem cannot be treated as approved.

Score manipulation, unfair advantages through automated play/bots, bypassing the service's security measures, and using another person's account are prohibited. Reports of such behavior are reviewed; reporting bugs or sharing legitimate security research through support is not prohibited.

Invitation-only duels

With a verified email account, duels let you and another player answer the same five multiple-choice questions at different times. You choose whether to share the invitation code. Each question allows one answer; timing and round status are determined using server time. Answers submitted after time expires earn no points; losing the connection does not pause the timer. Check the time limits shown before starting.

The result is revealed after both players finish or the round time windows close. Equal numbers of correct answers produce a draw; speed does not break ties. Win, draw, and loss history is recorded. Duels do not change daily trophies, overall daily totals, streaks, or category lives; purchases offer no advantage. Questions may repeat in the current small pool with source links; these friend matches are not a separate skill rating or assessment of expertise.

If either player blocks the other, a new invitation cannot be accepted. Reporting and blocking on the duel screen follow the social safety rules. Deleting an account may close the associated duel; it does not transfer another player's account data to you.

Usernames and team names

Do not use usernames or team names for harassment, hate, threats, disclosure of personal information, or illegal content. Do not impersonate other people or Tarihle support. Names have an initial filter; it cannot recognize every spelling workaround or context.

Use Report / block in ranking and team tables to report a player or hide them from your own tables. You may also report teams you do not own. You can unblock someone under Blocked players and support. Blocking does not delete another person's scores or membership. Reports are reviewed by the operator; inappropriate names may be replaced with a safe name. Contact support for more information.

Purchases and restoration

Tarihle+ is a one-time purchase; it is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. The purchase screen describes category-life benefits, ad-free use, archive access, and other entitlements. “Remove Ads” and costumes may be separate permanent products; streak-freeze pack items are consumed as used.

The valid price and payment terms are those shown in Apple's purchase sheet. Example/test prices shown in the app do not count as verification of payment or entitlements. Payments go through Apple; Tarihle does not receive your card details. Purchase entitlements in your Tarihle account rely on verified store records; pending, canceled, or refunded transactions may affect them.

For permanent products, use Restore purchases in Settings. Restoring a pack should not be expected to grant consumed items again. Contact support if you have trouble transferring or restoring entitlements.

For Apple purchases, follow Apple's refund-request instructions. Refund eligibility and processing depend on Apple's applicable terms. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights or statutory complaint or refund rights.

Apple's standard end-user license agreement also applies to licensing of the iOS app. These service terms do not replace the standard Apple license link.

Advertising

The free iOS version may show banners outside questions and dismissible full-screen ads after completed sets. These ads are not shown during the first three device days. Tarihle+ or “Remove Ads” entitlements remove them. Interstitial ads are not shown while answering questions.

Optional rewarded ads may provide category lives, archive days, or streak protection. Ad-earned entitlements do not increase league scores. Category lives in particular require verification of Google's signed server notification; an SDK callback alone does not approve a server entitlement. A connectivity or ad-provider failure is not treated as a purchase. You can manage ad privacy options in Settings. The web version currently has no ads.

Sources, licenses, and rights

Tarihle's original design and software and third-party works have different rights holders. The Sources and licenses page explains content sources and open-source licenses. Third-party brands or source names do not imply endorsement of Tarihle. Third-party content and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

Changes and contact

If the scope of the service or these terms changes, the updated text will be published on this page with its date. Significant changes affecting purchase entitlements or use will be announced in the app or through an appropriate communication channel. These changes do not affect mandatory statutory rights.
