Historical events

The headlines, questions, explanations, and “Did you know?” facts were written for Tarihle. The core question bank draws on Wikipedia's calendar pages; editorial source review is ongoing. Source links for map and ordering questions appear after the question. Wikipedia texts are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 and belong to their contributors. Names of people, organizations, companies, and products in historical events are used to convey historical information. They belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement of Tarihle.

Map sources

Coastlines were generated from Natural Earth's public-domain data; they do not show historical national borders.

Settlement coordinates for Paris, Berlin, Chicago, Bern, Gamboa, Cape Canaveral, Munich, Ankara, Battle, Los Angeles, and Prestwick were obtained from GeoNames and rounded to five decimal places. GeoNames data is provided under a Creative Commons Attribution license. The target is the city named in the question, rather than a building or a country's center.

Tarihle's original work

The Kumkum mascot, costumes, logo, icon, game music, and sound effects were created from scratch for Tarihle. Music and sounds are generated by code on your device, without prerecorded tracks or samples.

Open-source software and fonts

Tarihle uses React, Next.js, Capacitor, Supabase, Framer Motion, Lucide icons, and other open-source software. The Fredoka and Nunito fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Copyright notices and license texts for all packages are available in the third-party licenses.
